Fabric Requirements
Choose your colors based on what the word inspires you to think of. You may choose to use one color/fabric for each word or several. To create a scrappy look, add up the yardage for everything but the background. Divide that amount by the number of colors you want in the quilt and then buy that amount of yardage of each color. Cut the pieces by using the piece count on page 5. You can do the same thing for your background.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: If you choose to go for a scrappy look for your quilt, you will need to make sure you match a pair of 3 ½” squares, 1—2 ½” x 8 ½” rectangle, and 1—2 ½’ x 6 ½” rectangle for a total of 8 sets in your mountain fabrics. You will also want to make sure you make 24 sets of 2—3” squares and 3—2 ½’ squares out of your leaf fabrics.
